Milna is located on the western part of the island of Brac. Only 18 kilometres from Supetar, it is famous for its beautiful bay, the history of which stems from when the ships of the Emperor Diocletian founded a secure harbour here during the time of the building of his palace in Split.

Brac is one of the largest of the Dalmatian islands and has the most regular ferry service from the mainland of any of the islands. Car ferries from Split run hourly during the summer peak times and additionally there are several foot passenger ferries servicing many of the island’s towns.

Things to do on Brac

Head for St Vid church on Mount Vidova Gora. The highest peak on the island, it affords spectacular views over the whole island, as well as its neighbour, Hvar – take your camera!

Skrip, the oldest settlement on the island, is home to the Brac Museum. Housed in the Radojkovic Tower and is another  of the island’s ‘must-see’ destinations.

How to get there!

Whilst the island itself has an airport, Split on the mainland is the nearest international airport to Brac with regular scheduled flights from several European destinations.

At Split airport you will find a number of car hire companies and regular coach services depart from the covered walkway immediately outside the arrival terminal.

Set in a private walled garden accessed via a pedestrian alleyway one row back from the harbourside road. The large swimming pool/ jacuzzi with sunbathing terrace are perfect for a relaxing holiday. Off the terrace is a large day room with sofas & shower room. This can also be used as a fifth bedroom, the 2 sofas being double sofa beds. Going up a short flight of stairs from the garden is the main door and on this level is 1 double bedroom with ensuite shower room and a separate bathroom. Through an arch from the entrance hall and up 5 steps is the childrens bedroom comprising 2 single beds with 2 extra pull out beds under, a wooden baby cot and lots of childrens toys. This is a galleried area over a double bedroom below which leads out onto its own sea facing balcony. On the first floor is the kitchen/dining room and living room with balcony. From the kitchen are stairs down to the terrace. Down a flight of stairs from the kitchen is the final double bedroom with ensuite shower.
